Position Pay: $17.00 – $19.00\/hour

* This is Full time position
Summary of Major Functions:<\/p>\n

Assists the Director of Resident Engagement with planning and implementation of resident activity and recreational programs on a daily basis.<\/p>\n

Organizing & leading daily memory enrichment activities with a small group of residents.<\/p>\n

Enthusiastically encouraging resident participation in activities and recreational programs and celebrating their achievements.<\/p>\n

Preparing background materials and conducting relevant research for activities and recreational programs. <\/p>\n

Assist with music and occupational therapy for residents.

Qualifications:
Education:<\/p>\n

High school diploma, GED or educational equivalent required.
Experience:<\/p>\n

Previous experience working with older adults and\/or persons with memory-impairing diseases is desirable.<\/p>\n

Background in music, behavioral or occupational therapy is a plus!
Other:<\/p>\n

Must have valid driver license, good driving record, and current auto insurance.<\/p>\n

Ability to read, write and speak English.<\/p>\n

Must be comfortable working in an environment with pets and assisting in the care of community pets, including, but not limited to, dogs, cats, and birds.<\/p>\n

Willing to demonstrate passion and ability to work with people with Alzheimer\u2019s disease and other dementia-related disease.
