1. PROJECT BACKGROUND
The Municipal Support Program (MSP) is a five-year, USAID-funded program implemented by DAI. MSP aims to strengthen municipal-sector service delivery and promote local economic development in Jordan. MSP will strengthen municipal-sector service delivery by supporting improved governance and organizational culture through a focus on three interventions: key policy and service delivery reforms, municipal sector public financial management, and community engagement. Improved municipal service delivery will ensure that municipalities can respond effectively to citizens\u2019 needs and create the conditions for investment and inclusive economic growth. MSP will also increase capital investment in the municipal sector. This investment is intended to catalyze local economic opportunities and further strengthen service delivery by supporting improved development planning, facilitating investor partnerships, increasing access to finance, and supporting renovation and construction of fixed assets including the provision of material resources. Across all interventions, MSP will increase the participation of marginalized groups, including women, youth, and persons with disabilities in municipal-sector decision-making. Participatory planning will improve marginalized groups\u2019 access to public services and increase their economic opportunities. MSP will work across all of Jordan\u2019s governates.
2. POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Driver main responsibilities are driving and maintaining project vehicles and assisting in MSP Amman.
3. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n

Driver project vehicles daily as assigned and\/or pre-approved by supervisor, including routing shuttle service runs, scheduled field trips, project-related transportation within Amman, and other driving assignments as required. <\/p>\n

Clean assigned vehicles daily both inside and out. <\/p>\n

Check assigned vehicles weekly to ensure that they are operational and safe to drive, including oil, radiator, fan belt, brake fluids, wipers, tires, lights, and signals. <\/p>\n

Initiative and supervise any repairs required on assigned vehicles with supervisor\u2019s approval. <\/p>\n

Initiate and supervise routine periodic maintenance of assigned project vehicles, including oil and filter changes, tune-ups, and professional cleaning by high-pressure hose based on the manufacturer\u2019s instructions on optimum maintenance requirements. <\/p>\n

Fulfill project reporting requirements and maintain records on vehicle routing, vehicle condition. <\/p>\n

Ensure passenger safety by obeying traffic laws and driving carefully. <\/p>\n

Expedite any project request necessary to facilitate the running of the office. <\/p>\n

Provide logistical support and support activities happening when needed. <\/p>\n

Assisting in the loading and unloading of program supplies as needed. <\/p>\n

Receiving, storing (protecting), dispatching and accounting for Office materials. <\/p>\n

Move office furniture as needed. <\/p>\n

Any other duties, as assigned.
4. QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n

At least two years of work experience in driving, preferably on a USAID project or other donor-funded projects in Jordan. <\/p>\n

Experience driving within different regions across Jordan. <\/p>\n

Public driver\u2019s license and a good driving record. <\/p>\n

Understanding of auto mechanics required. <\/p>\n

Capable of communicating in both Arabic and English.
