Systems Engineer<\/p>\n

The Systems Engineer shall perform the following specific tasks and skills:<\/p>\n

• Shall troubleshoot and identify sources of problems and resolve issues related to the software and network<\/li>\n
• Shall provide Tier 2 and\/or Tier 3 network support for a complex enterprise WAN and LAN network connections with STRMM<\/li>\n
• Shall monitor and resolve service requests in accordance with published SLAs<\/li>\n
• Shall assist with documentation on incidents and trouble tickets<\/li>\n
• Shall assist in establishing and enforce best practice processes for network management, including configurations, monitoring, patch management and security<\/li>\n
• Shall have managerial experience in supporting a network system<\/li>\n
• Shall have experience with Global Security Systems (GSS), Access Control entry (ACE), Wireless, Riverbeds, Infoblox.<\/li>\n
• Shall have in-depth knowledge of complex LAN\/WAN communications, network hardware such as Cisco routers, Ethernet switches, bridges, gateways and Palo Alto firewalls.<\/li>\n
• Shall have knowledge of routing protocols such as RIP, EIGRP, BGP and OSPF.<\/li>\n
• Shall have knowledge of programing languages, VMware, Python, and Java<\/li>\n
• Shall have strong understanding and practical experience with technologies like Multi-Schedule Private Line Service Tariffs (MPLS), Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS), MLA Virtual Private Network (VPNs) and Traffic Engineering Duties involve among others, management of local and wide area network, projects, and installation of new devices, system and on-going maintenance of infrastructure. <\/li>\n
• Shall have working knowledge of all the software supporting the SMC as it is stated in the contract as well Windows and Linux computing environments<\/li>\n
• Shall have working knowledge of Linux <\/li>\n
• Shall have knowledge of DoD cyber security requirements, such as STIGS, IAVAs and RMF<\/li>\n
• Shall be knowledgeable in hardware associated with SATCOM terminals connected to STRMM and Monitor & Control software. In addition, the Field N\/S Admin shall be familiar with modern web development (HTML5, JS, CSS, etc.) and coordinating with the Network Engineer and the Network System Manager for system priorities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  <\/p>\n

  The candidate shall be responsible for managing the STRMM and monitor and control software related issues CONUS and OCONUS. The contractor will be responsible to assist the SMC with CONUS and OCONUS related trouble tickets related to the STRMM or Monitor & Control software.<\/p>\n

  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and a comprehensive background check<\/li>\n

  • Shall have A+.<\/li>\n
  • Shall have Security+.<\/li>\n
  • Shall have Network+<\/li>\n
  • Shall have minimum of four (4) years in IT customer support and shall have two (2) years\u2019 experience in a military environment.<\/li>\n
  • Bachelor\u2019s degree Computer Science; in lieu of a Bachelor's degree you need 12 years of related experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
