Towards this aim, the project combines infrastructure development and natural resources management with principles of local capital formation at the community level. The project will have three interrelated components, which will work synergistically to address key barriers and enhance the impact of project investments. The components are designed to deal with the lack of infrastructure, limited capacity of rural farming households and weak institutional capacity. They include (i) Component 1: Climate Resilient Water Systems; (ii) Component 2: Climate Change resilience for Enhanced Livelihoods and Food Security; and (iii) Component 3: Scaling-up climate adaptation. Coherently with identified lesson learned in Jordan as well as with the GCF Gender guidelines, the project builds on the idea of inclusion of women as change agents for climate adaptation. <br \/>The project will be executed jointly by FAO, UNDP, Ministry of Environment (MoE), Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) and Ministry of Water and Irrigation (MWI) indicating the strong collaborative and partnership approach which will be adopted during the implementation of the project. The project will capitalise on the strong experience and convening power that both FAO and UNDP have established in the country. <br \/>For the implementation of the Project, a project management unit (\u201cPMU\u201d) will be formed. The PMU will be responsible for day-to-day project management, providing human resources management, financial and procurement services, coordinate the Project activities, generate work plans and prepare reports. <br \/>Reporting Lines<br \/>The project CTA will be Under the direct supervision and will report directly to FAO Representative in Jordan and will work in collaboration with project\u2019s team and FAO Jordan team.<br \/>Technical Focus<br \/>&#8211; Watershed management, rural development, agriculture, water management, civil engineering and climate change <br \/>&#8211; Project cycle management and strategic planning <br \/>&#8211; Water conservation and collection structures and measures <br \/>&#8211; Peoples management and leadership <br \/>Tasks and responsibilities<br \/>\u2022 Serve as BRCCJ official counterpart in Jordan on behalf of FAO, particularly vis-\u00e0-vis the Government counterparts, Jordan-based donors, civil society actors, and other stakeholders identified in the PIM as contributors to the BRCCJ implementation. <br \/>\u2022 Lead the preparation and monitoring progress of implementing policies, strategies, and plans in line with the Project outcomes and outputs. <br \/>\u2022 In coordination with project manager, review, and update regularly the project\u2019s annual implementation plans and budget (AWPB). Revise periodically the PIM, the Procurement Plan (PP) and the financial plans. <br \/>\u2022 Ensure and be accountable for a timely implementation of the Project activities on the basis of the approved project implementation table, detailed cost table, AWPB, PIM, and in line with FAO and GCF internal guidelines and directives. <br \/>\u2022 Lead the elaboration and review of annual gender sensitive capacity building plans. <br \/>\u2022 Ensure that the project activities are implemented soundly and in line with the ESMF guidelines. <br \/>\u2022 Review the incoming grievances received and ensure that they are adequately addressed. <br \/>\u2022 Review and update periodically operational risk and mitigation plan. <br \/>. <br \/>\u2022 Supervise the development and execution of the M&amp;E system applied in the Project. Ensure that the system is coherent with the requirements of each of the Project Components. <br \/>\u2022 Oversee the knowledge management and dissemination of the project outputs. <br \/>\u2022 Contribute to BRCCJ reporting as required in the Agreement with GCF. Review the final version of all due reports and ensure they are in line with FAA milestones for subsequent financing procedures. <br \/>\u2022 Perform other duties as required.<br \/>CANDIDATES WILL BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE FOLLOWING<br \/>Minimum Requirements<br \/>\u2022 M.Sc. degree in watershed management, agriculture, environment, or other related fields. <br \/>\u2022 At least (8) years of progressive experience in a senior position preferably in government or UN entities. <br \/>\u2022 Working knowledge (level C) of English and limited knowledge (level B) of another FAO language.
