JOB PURPOSE<\/strong><\/p>\n

• Perform the vertical and quantity surveying related activities across all projects under various stages (feasibility support, cost planning, commercial tender evaluation, change management, corporate and asset management related requests) to ensure adherence to standards and cost effectiveness. <\/li>\n
• Assist in the provision of market intelligence by using various sources of information.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  • Provide support in the definition of budgets for Capital Projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Cost Planning \/ Design Development<\/p>\n

    • Prepare or review rough order of magnitude (ROM) costings<\/li>\n
    • Review of cost estimates and cost plans at various design stages (concept, schematic, detailed)<\/li>\n
    • Review of unpriced tender bills of quantities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Commercial Tender Evaluation<\/p>\n

      • Benchmark requests for consultancy fees, including professional staff rates, studies, surveys, provisional sums<\/li>\n
      • Review of main contract tenders<\/li>\n
      • Review of priced bills of quantities prior to award.<\/li>\n

        Change Orders (Variation Orders)<\/p>\n

        • Assess variations on consultancy fees.<\/li>\n
        • Review main contract variations, including requesting quotations, build up rates etc.<\/li>\n
        • Validate staff rates based on position and years of experience.<\/li>\n

          Corporate \/ Asset Management <\/p>\n

          • Review corporate fees for marketing, legal and other professional fees.<\/li>\n
          • Validate staff rates based on position and years of experience.<\/li>\n
          • Evaluate costs associated with various studies \/ surveys \/ activation of provisional sums.<\/li>\n
          • Assess capital costs associated with ancillary structures or systems applicable to existing assets.<\/li>\n
          • Review costs associated with repairs \/ maintenance costs for existing built assets.<\/li>\n
          • Advise on Operation & Maintenance costs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Market Intelligence \/ Database<\/p>\n

            • Ability to gather, structure, and analyse data.<\/li>\n
            • Disseminate information to higher management.<\/li>\n
            • Continuously monitor cost changes in construction commodities (price indices, tender price inflation etc.)<\/li>\n

            • Staying up to date with technological developments, including but not limited to software, modern methods of construction, prefabrication, design for manufacturing, and other innovative concepts.<\/li>\n

                    TECHNICAL AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS<\/p>\n

                    • Deep exposure to GCC region and adjacent markets preferred<\/li>\n
                    • Demonstrated track record in real estate developments<\/li>\n
                    • Excellent estimation and cost planning capabilities<\/li>\n
                    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required to present estimates, cost plans, variation orders etc. to senior leaders for approval.<\/li>\n
                    • Experienced in working with multi-disciplinary teams that include members from Development \/ Design, Project Management, Procurement and Commercial functions. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
