University of Doha for Science and Technology – Human Capital Directorate – Profile:
University of Doha for Science and Technology – Human Capital Directorate is inviting nominations and applications for the position of HC Systems Specialist. Reporting to the Head, HCI&Q, the HC Systems Specialist is responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for the HCIS system, and work for the enhancement of the HCIS to better satisfy user and UDST requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
This position requires a technically proficient individual who will ensure that all information in HCIS is up-to-date and accurate inorder to maintain data integrity for Talent Management, HC Operations and Recruitment.
The successful candidate will conduct an analysis on the performance of existing HCIS at UDST; create reports as necessary for the HC Directorate and evaluate and recommend system enhancements by conducting gap analysis, identify and report any feasible alternative solutions.
The successful candidate will research and evaluate potential solutions using the available system tools and functionalities, or through third party tools that could be integrated, in collaboration with the Information Technology (IT), Finance, Institutional Effectiveness (IE) or other business units as requested.
The incumbent will Collaborate with the relevant stakeholders across HC to identify, define and evaluate end user requirements from the HCIS and translate user requirements into technical specifications, workflows and processes and perform data mapping, conversion testing, and end-user documentation.
The successful candidate will Verify and validate implemented system modules and solutions that meet specifications and quality standards to satisfy user requirements and provide functional support and subject matter expertise based on knowledge of existing HCIS applications.
The successful candidate will collaborate with IT to develop, maintain and enhance the HCIS applications and modules and work with them to manage the completion and implementation of HCIS related projects, in coordination with the relevant stakeholders.
The successful candidate will ensure that the data entered by the HC Operations team on the system is complete and accurate and train/advice Human Capital employees on new systems and processes also ensuring that the data entered by the HC Operations team on the system is complete and accurate.
The incumbent will Store data in a way that is easily usable for reporting purposes to help respond to data requests by employees and / or government agencies in a timely and accurate manner and maintain HCIS by cleansing existing data that is irrelevant and ensure consistency across all online records
The successful candidate will develop and organize the SharePoint site of Human Capital Directorate and promote best practices for usage and maintain, modify and manage HC SharePoint permissions, security and end user access, and ensure confidentiality and protection.
The successful candidate will design user-friendly processes, guidelines, and documentation of how to do things in PeopleSoft and ensure the improvement initiatives on the HCIS applications so that it serves UDST business needs for Talent Management, HC Operations and Recruitment.
The successful candidate will ensure that all HC related systems are regularly updated and compliant with labor regulations and Handle all HC system upgrades and system additions in partnership with the Information Technology (IT).

Education and Certifications:
Bachelor's Degree is required in IT, Human Resources or related field
Additional Training in HCIS or HC is an asset.
Practical experience with HC database administration, including payroll systems
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in IT or HCIS or related field
Language:
Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic language required.
Other Required Skills:
Highly resourceful executor with analytical thinking and critical thinking skills. Ambitious and self-motivated team player with strong IT technical skills and the ability to apply technical knowledge and provide sound comprehensive advice. An expert in relationship building, planning and management along with excellent time management preferred. Technology expert, teamwork, reliable, quality, diligence and service excellence are the strong attributes preferred.
