PROSTHETIST TECHNICIAN

Job Description

Summary
Assists prosthetists in measurement of Orthotic/Prosthetic Services (OPS)devices. Fabricates and repairs orthoses and prostheses. Maintains materials and services tools and equipmentEssential Responsibilities and Duties
2. Makes prosthetic devices using materials such as thermoplastic and thermosetting materials, metal alloys and leather.
3. Services and repairs appliances as required.
4. Maintains an inventory of materials.
5. Assists prosthetists working with patients.
6. Repairs machinery used in the fabrication of devices.
7.Follows all hospital related policies and procedures.
8. Participates in self and others education, training and development, as applicable.
9. Performs other related duties as assigned.Education
Bachelor's or Associate Degree/Diploma in Prosthetics/Orthotics or both form a recognized institutions is required. Experience Required
Two (2) years of related experiencewith Bachelor's or four (4) years with Associate Degree/ Diploma is required.
Grade 09:
. Four (4) years as a Prosthetist Technician at KFSH&RC.
. Average of annual performance at least (3.5) for the last four (4) years.
. Fifty (50) hours of cumulative continued medical education is required. Other Requirements(Certificates)
Current registration from country of origin and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is required.
