Program Development Specialist
Job Description
College/Department Profile
Under supervision of academic quality director, program development specialist works collaboratively with QU Health colleges to promote the development and expeditious implementation of new programs designed to fit institutional priorities and capabilities, meet market need according to QU health strategic goals. He/she will be responsible for the development and/or restructuring of undergraduate and graduate programs, including technical writing, editing, benchmarking and documentation of program proposals and course outlines and descriptions according to international standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
Support academic leader sand Heads in development of program proposals, including budget planning to ensure financial sustainability, implementation timelines, and marketing/recruitment plans according to QU health strategic initiatives and academic planning
Assist colleges in conducting benchmark research and feasibility studies for new programs to identify and evaluate likely success of potential new programs that fit QU Health mission, are of interest to and within the capacity of colleges, and meet market demand.
Work in partnership with the curriculum enhancement and academic program review specialists at the quality assurance office and QU Health colleges and programs to plan curriculum developments including there structuring of existing programs.
Develop approaches to foster collaboration across colleges and the development of cross-college academic offerings.
Collaborate with various committees to review academic policies and guidelinesrelated to program development, and other matters relating to academic affairs and promote innovation in curriculum development.
Collaborate with academic leaders to identify process for new program selection and development prioritize support needs among multiple programs in various stages of development to provide clear direction and priorities to academic quality team.
Support the preparation of annual reports and other Academic Programs data requirements
Work with marketing and Communications team to develop outreach and marketing materials for diverse Academic Programs curricular activities.
Collaborate with students affairs on the creation and maintenance of relevant undergraduate-level program details.
