Senior Concept Architect
Assist in developing NEOM architecture design style and ensures implementation across regions

Responsible as part of the senior management team for engaging with appointed consultants to review and approve conceptual design submissions and maintain the quality of design narrative across the whole of NEOM, including stakeholder engagement internally and externally.

Team leadership adopts creative and innovative solutions in managing the design and develops appropriate research and documentation to support design solutions

Responsible to engage in the design of various architectural design typologies and s: masterplans, urban design, hospitality, residential, civic and cultural, commercial, public, transport, healthcare, educational, etc.

Manage architectural design consultants to deliver NEOM architectural content and context

Strong ability to prepare, develop and edit drawings and presentations

Supervise the production of conceptual design information with Project Management Consultancy

Acts as Lead Reviewer in qualitative architectural design review process, providing analysis, comment, direction and recommendation

Assist in management and oversight of other Architects across different sectors/departments

Develop and review architectural asset briefs

Manages Design and Asset Brief compliance, completeness and accuracy, including design coordination within architecture and across disciplines.

Prepare Scope of Works, reports and related data tables.

Take initiative to develop design manuals, standard design documents

Ability to solve design issues in a creative and pragmatic way by developing multiple designs options that meet the design approach and budget

Manage communication, coordination, and management of consultants, contractors, various NEOM departments/sectors

Produce deliverables in accordance with NEOM standards and policies

Ability to work as part of a remote team and maintain ATKINS QA/QC standards

12+ years of post-undergraduate outstanding architectural design and management experience

Proven related experience in a preparation of architectural conceptual designs/ Competitions including engagement, collaboration and management of international design consultants across sectors and typologies

Design experience of various scales and in various architectural types: master-planning, urban design, residential, commercial, public, healthcare, educational, etc.

Extensive project experience with emphasis on large projects and programs

Experience in Middle East is highly appreciated

Understanding of financial and commercial management of projects.

Full understanding of risk management and ability to transmit the same to others.

Understanding of scope definition and scope interface and ability to transmit the same to others.

Full knowledge of international standards & best practice, policies, codes and procedures and ability to transmit the same to others.

A knowledge and appreciation of Statutory Authorities requirements,

Knowledge of international and local codes, regulations and submission requirements.

Developed knowledge of Sustainable Design principles.

Excellent conceptual and design skills, with emphasis on aesthetics and design standards

Fluency in English, spoken and written

Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills, communicating with clarity, purpose and accuracy

Ability to negotiate

Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.

Flexibility and positive attitude towards company objectives.

Cordial relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Commitment to innovation and design excellence

Outstanding presentation skills.

Excellent ability in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Adobe Suite Grasshopper and V-Ray is a plus

Ability to engage in design discussion with a capability to prepare and deliver public/ group presentations

Strong organizational skills, ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines on budget and on time

A keen eye for attention to detail and accuracy

Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative in response to direction from project managers, directors and partners

A team player, with a flexible and open attitude towards new ways of working and collaborating

B.Arch or B.Sc. in Architecture from a recognized university

Postgraduate in Architecture or Urban Design

International accreditation (RIBA, AIA, or equivalent)

The achievement of sustainability certification (LEED, PQP, or equivalent) is highly desirable
