Issue & Review Mechanical Design and prepare Value Engineering Report with cost control sheets.
Prepare Cost Analysis Resources (Materials, labors, Equipment & Subcontracts…i.e). –
Prepare Cost Estimates for Mechanical works HVAC, Fire Fighting & Plumbing. –
Prepare the Quantity Takeoff Tables from Tender Drawings and Documents. –
Recognizing the scope of work by reviewing the tender documents, i.e. B.O.Q, Drawings, and Specifications. –
Collecting, Studying and Selection of the appropriate Offers for the Mechanical Works from Sub‐Contractors, Manufacturers, and Suppliers; with regular inquiry follow suppliers.
Raising technical queries to be clarified by the consultant or client. –
Cost comparison in case of multiple offers to select technically and commercially suitable proposals. –
Preparation of the final tender’s technical and financial proposals. –
Review of tender documents and identify the key elements of proposal in accordance with the company policies and procedures. –
Preparation of Estimate summaries for Mechanical works. –
Attending tender clarification & negotiating meetings.
Review the and coordinate with manufacturers the offered selections –
Check the contract documents for discrepancies and provide advice to commercial department and planning department. –
Responsible about central heating and central water cooled cooling system, for the design verification, shop drawings preparation, raising of RFIs, general details preparation and value engineering proposals. –
Support the site team with the required information for materials take-off and orders. –
Provide proper technical support based on international standards, ASHRAE , SMACNA , NFPA, BS, ASTM, and several standards related to the projects specifications. –
Make heat load verification HVAC equipment's sizing and selection. -Calculate head losses for pumps and fans. -Guide a group of draftsmen to submit shop drawings as per the plan.
Develop, maintain and oversee the coordination of Utilities mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems design for development projects, to achieve zero variations, and to establish the project documents.
Coordinate with the authorities, consultants, contractors and project management to incorporate all codes, regulations, and requirements to avoid any complications, variations, and delays at the handing over the stage.
Advise and interface with other depts. development, construction, and facility management, in the MEP/Utilities construction, and participate in the selection of MEP/Infrastructure consultants, project managers and contractors.
Oversee of the current status of MEP/Utilities works and be aware of day to-day plans of others, anticipate and catch deviations from plan, specs and agreed with quality, and improve where necessary, to guide the efforts in the proper direction that the projects need to take.
Provide direction for the budget, estimating, engineering, and MEP/Utilities construction functions, and negotiate and prepare change orders.
Improves technical knowledge by reviewing technical papers, literature and attending appropriate seminars and workshops with the intent of applying the latest technology to company developments
