Position Summary

  • The Trade Marketing Specialist in responsible for assisting in the development of marketing strategies aligned with the brand strategies while focusing on distribution, display, promotion and price. Further, analyzing competitive price movements, display status, competitive promotions, sell-out data and direct the sales teams where to act on a regular basis.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • · Execute trade promotional plan in designated channels with clients.
  • · Looking after all trade promotion (placing promotions based on marketing calendar).
  • · Market visits- monitoring competitor activities, pricing strategy, current promotions, and stock level across POS (point of sale).
  • · Monitoring stock movement to stores, suggesting promotions or trade deals on slow moving or near expiry products or promotions.
  • · Working with principles on planograms, promotions, merchandizing, etc.
  • · Executing BTL activities (new product launch and listing, sampling, consumer promotions).
  • · Actively taking part in product launch (giving presentation to sales team on new SKUs).
  • · Forecasting for various trade deals, consumer offers and passing it to the demand planning team as per the agreed cycle planning calendar.
  • · Follow up with sales team on achievements
  • · Market spend optimization and helping clients sell out stock thru diverse ATL/BTL activities.
  • · Tracking down the sell-out data by SKU and perform the required analysis.
  • · Conducting market research such as customer questionnaires and focus groups.
  • · Monitoring competitor activity, evaluating visibility & market coverage of our products thru regular market visits.

المهارات

  • · Bachelor’s degree in marketing or Business Administration
  • · Certificate in trade marketing is a plus
  • · 5 years of experience in trade marketing with preferably 3-4 years in FMCG & multi retail environment
  • · Creative, energetic, and proactive individual with strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
  • · Ability to think critically and creatively
  • · Very strong numerical and analytical skills – translate marketing initiatives into quantifiable measurable performance
  • · Very strong team player skills & strong report writing and presentation skills
  • · Excellent excel and power point skills
