As the Senior Accountant – Retail Revenue & Cost you will be responsible for the reporting of the General Ledger accounts relating to banking and receivables, and the reporting of collections at Stores and Dealers
Core Responsibilities
You will be responsible of the following:
Update postpaid GL mapping
Validate postpaid interface before posting to GL
Post GL interface data to GL
Calculate and post manual accrual to GL
Analyze revenue and cost GL accounts and resolve issues
Check IFRS compliance and resolve issues (example: IFRS15)
Respond to queries or requests for data or analysis related to postpaid accounting
Download and review prepaid monthly reports used to account prepaid revenue
Map prepaid reports to GL codes
Post prepaid cost and revenue journal entries to GL
Analyze revenue and cost GL accounts and resolve issues
Respond to queries or request of data or analysis related to prepaid accounting
Reconcile & substantiate postpaid and prepaid revenue and cost related GL accounts
Resolve reconciliation issues/ discrepancies
Respond to internal audit queries / questions and requests for data or analysis
Respond to external audit queries / questions and requests for data or analysis
Skills Required
Solid knowledge of accounting principles of receivables, revenue, and bank reconciliations
Good analytical skills
Good problem solving skills
Strong communication skills (Arabic and English)
Strong Organizational Skills
Good time management skills
* Strong team working skills
The Person
You should have a minimum of 4 years plus with exposure to financial accounting in a large organization with bachelor degree in business or finance
