Directs and supervises the assigned Region’s Field territory to achieve its annual and monthly sales target objectives determined in the approved business plan for each year through combination of various cost-effective sales strategies, merchandising and promotional activities, and Increasing business opportunities through various routes to market.

  • Responsible for overseeing the sales operation of the company in a geographical area.
  • Prepares and recommends the annual Sales Operating and capital budgets of his field territory. Targets and guides his team towards actual monthly performance against these budget standards, taking corrective management action where necessary.
  • Establishing, maintaining, and expanding customer base
  • Maintain and reduce the returned products.
  • Increasing business opportunities through various routes to market
  • Setting sales targets and plans for the fresh, frozen and the FPP products
  • Setting sales targets for individual reps and sales team as a whole
  • Maintains personal customer service and close business relationship with key customer accounts in his field territory through regular visits and recommends and “in-store promotion” request from them to the National Sales Manager for approval.
  • Exercises supervisory and administrative authority over subordinates comprising of the Sales team in the region.
  • Exercises financial authority at the level established by the Management for the position.
  • Assist the Management in the preparation of Sales annual business plan for the Company’s various products setting of the region’s sales volume targets, market share, profit and loss target based on the market research and survey data provided by Marketing and from his field territory’s historical sales data.
  • Identifies new and existing company outlets in his field territory, their location, classification and volume potential in coordination with Sales Management. Maintains and updates data bank of all sales outlets his field territory and ensures that assigned Salesmen penetrates and maintains the said outlets.
  • Negotiates display agreements and offers with customer for lease of gondolas, floor display and shelf display for the full range of the company products at the customers’ outlets and recommends to Director of Sales & Marketing for approval.
  • Ensures that the team in the region conducts regular sales call to all sales outlets in their sales territory as scheduled in their Route and Itinerary Books.
  • Monitors the competitors’ activities in the Region and prepares and submits regular report to the Sales Management.
  • Ensures that the team calls frequency required by each sales outlet per month is determined and scheduled in the Salesman Daily Sales Route Book and Merchandiser’s Itinerary Book and are executed by the Salesmen and Merchandisers as per schedule. Conducts regular and random sales outlet visits to validate sales and merchandising calls as necessary and receive any customer complaint.
  • Ensures that the team follows the standard the company sales call procedure to maximize sales order and that they observe proper behavior in dealing with customers to enhance the Company’s
  • Reviews purchase orders of customers and sales orders prepared by the Salesmen for correct product prices, credit term, discounts and free goods and against customer credit limits and status and recommends for approval of the Branch Accountant and Sales Management. Coordinates with the Transport Supervisor for the timely delivery of the said sales orders.
  • Conducts regular and random customers credit checks to prevent non-remittance by Salesmen of the credit collections
  • Coordinates with the Sales Management the sales strategies and promotional programs to counteract these activities.
  • Ensures cost effective, timely and disciplined implementation of sales promotions.
  • Plans quantities of promotional materials for each sales outlet in his field territory and ensures documentation and acknowledgement of receipt by the customers.
  • Prepares and submits analysis report on the effect of the sales promotion and merchandising program in sales performance to the National Sales Manager.
  • Maintains personal customer service and close business relationship with key customer accounts in his field territory through regular visits and recommends and “in-store promotion” request from them to the Sales Management for approval.
  • Assists the Sales Management in the Sales Office’s participation in Food Exhibitions in the Region. Ensures that the Company’s products are well presented and promoted in the exhibition through unique displays, booth arrangement, promotional programs and merchandising.
  • Ensures that the teams are equipped with adequate training and product information to facilitate the sales transaction with various market segments especially with industrial users and caterers.
  • Reports to the Sales Management any product complaint received from the trade for immediate action and corrective measures to protect and enhance the brands’ image with the customers and consumers. Checks the product complaint with the Production representative and ensures that it is properly addressed to the satisfaction of the customer or consumer.
  • Continuously reviews the channels of distribution of the company products.
  • Ensures that all Sales team observe the Company rules and regulations and calls their attention on non-compliance and recommends administrative action if required. Ensures that they observe proper dress code and hygiene to promote the quality image of the company in the trade.
  • Performs other tasks and duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Sales Management.
