The role of the Senior Sales Manager is to challenge Sales, commercial and procurement aspects of the business to drive and improve performance of the fresh produce department.

Description
Build the business through sales and marketing of existing and new products to existing and new customersBuild a healthy portfolio, rely on sustainable continuous local and international line of products, and build on that while maintaining a healthy customer base and avoid bad debtRe-align product offering to market demand (premium for premium customers, lower grade for middle tier customers), re-structure the product loading and offering by sourcing mixed containersDevelop and build relationships with current and new customersIncrease local line of products, but not only, that provide continuity in supply and promotional supportNegotiate and align further customers where cross-sales is present, rice, dairy, poultry, fresh produce
Profile
8 – 10 years of previous experience working within or provide services to the Fresh Produce and distribution Industry is a mustSales experience as well as previous procurement experience would be ideal Experience of heading up and managing a team of sales staffExperience of the wholesale/food service business, food manufacturing and food hygieneKnowledge of key contacts and players in the fresh produce industry
