Supervisor – Pricing & Route Development
Job Description

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 4 – 6 years in Freight Forwarding pricing and logistics field and/or Route development roles
- Geographic Experience: Qatar, UAE and/or GCC
- Computer Skills: MS Office
- High proficiency in English
- Market/Industry/Functional Knowledge:
- Good understanding of Market trends
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities reading professional publications maintaining personal networks participating in professional organizations
Task Description:
- Support the creation of the vision and strategy for Ocean & Air regional procurement and pricing.
- Assess & provide regular feedback & review Ocean and Air Carrier management strategies.
- Develop and lead the pricing and procurement process for existing and new products in close coordination with the department heads and sales managers.
- Support tender team with special procurement of Ocean and Air rates as applicable.
- Maintain Sales Tariff for selected trade lanes that are both competitive and profitable.
- Analyse actual and forecasted volumes to optimize procurement efforts with Ocean and Air carriers.
- Negotiate rates / space with Carriers to support Milaha Logistics regular volumes.
- Provide day-to-day guidance and assistance to the Pricing team, including actively providing pricing to the sales team to ensure Pricing is not a bottle neck in returning timely quotations.
- Provide timely approvals or feedback to the pricing team so that any escalated requests are resolved to ensure Pricing is not a bottle neck in returning timely quotations.
- Facilitate weekly meetings with pricing team to evaluate win ratio and define corrective actions proactively.
- Act as Commercial Liaison for Partner agents to mutually develop more business to Milaha Logistics and conduct regular business reviews with them.
- Offer technical trade lane knowledge support to Sales departments by producing marketing material and conducting customer visits with the sales team to promote Milaha products and services.
- Lead marketing/sales campaigns for new Air & Ocean products.
- Push partner agents for sales leads and distribute them accordingly to Sales department for follow up.
- Actively engage in closing large opportunities with the Sales team for selected key routes.

- Set and follow up relevant KPIs for the department that ensure speed of pricing, volume growth , profitability improvement and overall customer satisfaction.
- Support recruiting, onboarding , integration and development of new qualified colleagues to ensure the availability of qualified & competent resources.
- Coach subordinates, proactively identify their development needs, establishing development plans and follow-up on these as well as personnel records, timesheets, vacation, leave and absenteeism.
- Liaise with operations to ensure service delivery is in accordance with customer requirements and vendor's commitments, so that the pricing and sales team can sustainably & credibly sell in future based on current delivery of the promised service.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
