As a Technician Welder, you will play a key role in our daily plant operations to ensure reliability and consistency on our production line.
As a Technician Welder, you will be responsible for:
- Perform Assembly, Testing, Welding and/or ReDress of equipment
- Ensure all work orders are completed with documentation in associated systems
- Liaise with lead/supervisor/manager to identify any 3rd party welding requirements and process accordingly with SAP PO
- Assists in maintaining plant production by making repairs within scope of expertise
- Interprets and follows through on work orders following various safe work procedures
- Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques.
- Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine appropriate welding process.
- Welds all types of commonly used metals and alloys of various s, shapes, and thicknesses, including dissimilar metals such as copper to steel.
- Good mechanical aptitude, including developing skills in use of general hand tools and precision measuring equipment
- Identify cost-out opportunities and elevate to lead/supervisor/manager/AMO engineer for review/implementation.

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a technical diploma and/or minimum of 2 years of experience in MIG, TIG welding
- Have a strong awareness of HSE and the ability to work independently in a safe manner and strictly adheres to all safety requirements and procedure
- Have experience in using GMAW, SMAW and GTAW & Plasma
- Have knowledge on various grades of Materials Like WCC, 316, P#1,3,4,5A& 5B ,6,8,15E and selection of electrodes
- Be able to follow working procedure, working instruction like WPS, PQR & WPQ
- Be able to read the engineering drawing and prepare weld coupon
- Be able to use measurement methods and handling measurement tools
- Be able to work and communicate well with others
