Field and Mobilization Coordinator

JOB TITLE: Field & Mobilization Coordinator

LOCATION: Zaatari / Amman

POST TYPE: National

CHILD SAFEGUARDING: Level 3 – the responsibilities of the post may require the post holder to have regular contact with or access to children or young people

ROLE PURPOSE: Field & Mobilization Coordinator will be responsible of all mobilization efforts and activities including stakeholders mapping, outreach activities and sessions administration. This function also entails following up on the implementation of the activities and communication with relevant focal points within ministries, communities, and individuals. The Field & Mobilization Coordinator will also support the advocacy team with the awareness and campaign at activities.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

Reports to: Project Manager

Staff directly reporting to this post: Volunteers.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

Support the delivery of effective Programmes, in both development and humanitarian contexts, by:

  • Support the delivery of effective programmes, in development contexts in stressed communities.
  • Conduct monitoring visits to the program sites on daily basis to ensure the implementation of the activities in a timely and efficient way.
  • Conduct an outreach, service mapping and market analyses for the targeted areas.
  • Coordinate the livelihood activities and link the beneficiaries with livelihood opportunities.
  • Deal with the targeted peoples’ records confidentially and professionally.
  • Working closely with the logistic team to ensure all purchase and supply requests related to the activities implemented in the local communities are done on time and according to SCJ procedures
  • Conduct outreach to raise awareness on the services provided by SC.
  • Support in providing the technical guidance on community mobilization and awareness raising messages and activities for community stakeholders.
  • Support in the implementation of the awareness and advocacy campaign at the national level.
  • Ensure that the child protection program is implemented in ways that are responsive to targeted people, in line with SC’s principles, values and strategic plan and compliant with SC’s procedures.
  • Ability and willingness to dramatically change work practices and hours, and work with incoming surge teams, in the event of crisis or emergency.
  • Working with the Project officer, MEAL, and PDQ teams for ensuring proper documentation and implementing the project with quality.
  • Represent SC on donor and monitor visits.
  • Prepare a weekly, monthly narrative and quantitative reports.
  • Supporting and leading the established CPCs and facilitating the capacity-building training, meetings, and initiatives.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the Project Manager

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential:

  • Bachelor Degree in a social science, management or any related field
  • Four years’ experience with humanitarian organizations and background knowledge in child protection (Child Labour) and livelihood.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • At Least two years’ experience in managing a team in the field.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Ability and willingness to travel within Jordan.
