Chief Technology Officer
Role Overview:
A new tech start-up seeks a seasoned Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to build, lead and drive technological strategy. The ideal candidate will possess a solid technical background and an in-depth understanding of developing and managing technology solutions.
They will be responsible for steering our technical vision, overseeing our technology development, and leading our team of engineers to ensure alignment with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
· Strategic Technological Vision: Shape and drive the company's strategic technological direction by staying at the forefront of technology trends and ensuring that our products and services are built on secure, scalable, and efficient platforms.
· Product Development: Oversee all system design and changes in system architecture, ensuring the software meets quality requirements, security, modifiability, extensibility, etc.
Build a complete platform from scratch.
· Research and Development: Lead R&D efforts to ensure the continuous introduction of new technologies, keeping the
company technologically competitive and innovative.
· Team Management and Leadership: Directly manage a dynamic IT team of software architects, developers, and analysts. Cultivate the team's development by encouraging continual learning and growth.
· IT Operations: Ensure robust and effective software and IT operations, infrastructure, and cybersecurity systems. Implement and manage disaster recovery and backup procedures.
· Budget Management: Develop and control the IT annual operating and capital expenditure budget to ensure iit'sconsistent with the overall strategic objectives of IT and the enterprise.
· Risk Management: Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities, and create mitigation plans.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience as a CTO or similar leadership role, preferably in a relevant industry.
· Strong knowledge of the technological landscape, including new and emerging technologies and development methodologies.
· Extensive experience managing IT infrastructure and IT operations.
· A strategic thinker with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Exceptional team management and leadership skills.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
· BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus.
