Radio Access Optimization Engineer

Position Overview:

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Junior Radio Access Optimization Engineer to join our team. As a Junior Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in the optimization and performance improvement of our radio access networks. You will work closely with senior engineers and stakeholders to analyze network data, identify areas for improvement, and implement optimization strategies. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in wireless communication and contribute to the advancement of our network performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Monitoring and Analysis: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and collect network data to analyze network performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Performance Optimization: Assist in the implementation of optimization techniques to enhance network performance, such as parameter tuning, antenna optimization, and interference mitigation.
  • Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Collaborate with the network operations team to troubleshoot network performance issues, identify root causes, and propose solutions.
  • Drive Testing and Benchmarking: Support drive tests and benchmarking activities to evaluate network performance against industry standards and competitors.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze network data and prepare reports to highlight performance trends, identify anomalies, and make recommendations for optimization.
  • Network Planning Support: Assist in the planning and design of network expansions, upgrades, and capacity enhancements to meet customer demands and improve overall network performance.
  • Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including RF design engineers, network planners, and operations teams, to ensure seamless integration of optimization activities and share best practices.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and trends in radio access technologies, optimization techniques, and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of wireless communication principles, radio access technologies (e.g., GSM, UMTS, LTE, 5G), and network protocols.
  • Familiarity with network optimization concepts and tools (e.g., drive test tools, network analyzers, performance management systems).
  • Proficiency in data analysis using tools such as Excel, MATLAB, or Python.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team and interact with stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Prior experience or internships in radio access optimization or telecommunications is a plus.
