Grant Associate
Position Summary:
The Grant Associate provides administrative support for an assigned program team(s). The Grant Associate works with team members and subgrant awardees to support subgrant agreements, including the preparation, review and organization of agreement files. The Grant Associate maintains and updates records in various databases to ensure accurate information is available for team members and managers, and reviews and prepares financial documents, including subgrantee payment request expense reconciliations.
Major Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities of the position should be listed in order of importance.
- Supports the grant team on administrative matters: collects and reviews pre-award documentation, drafts routine subgrantee and funder correspondence and maintains agreement file.
- Assists with project implementation: reviews and remediates subgrantee payment requests and expense reconciliations, maintains electronic records and subgrant database/s.
- Assists with preparing reports and financial data
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications / Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Related Field (e.g., management, law, economics, public administration, etc.)
- 1-3 years of experience in a related field experience in a related field, experience in federal assistance programs is a strong advantage and Project management skills.
- Customer service experience and effective communication skills, including experience working with international partners.
- Effective communication skills
- Experience with MS Excel
- Strong critical thinking and analysis, planning and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and to adapt quickly to new challenges
- High level of organization and attention to detail
