The opportunity
This is an opportunity to be part of a highly experienced team working on a highly confidential project in KSA on the Red Sea Coast.
Project: New build mixed use development Mace will be providing programme, design and commercial management.
We are hiring an ambitious and forward-thinking Senior Logistics Manager to join our established and growing team in KSA.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the highest standard of health and safety and ensuring compliance in the operation of a safe site is adhered to as part of a wider team.
- Providing the project's safety statistics and information for project reporting, safety meetings, tool box talks and others.
- Developing a logistics management plan based on the site-specific constraints and managing the approval of this plan with the client and the trade contractors.
- Coordinating the site set-up with the client's site lead to establish the overall site layout to ensure fully integrated logistics plan.
- Developing, maintaining and updating the inventory management register and maintain up to date records/ledgers of all materials held on site in collaboration with the grid installation manager and project coordinator.
- Managing the materials delivery process and materials arrival to site process including all off-loading, site lifting plans, large tool delivery set up, and the trade contractor approvals.
- Ensuring daily coordination and logistics management for grid and peripheral parts safe deliveries and efficient off-loading and movement into chamber, avoiding double handling.
- Attending a weekly last planner meetings and be responsible for informing the team of material needs in advance of construction operations.
- Assisting the grid manager in swiftly reporting any missing items, or items not meeting the project specification and subsequently implement quarantine arrangements and materials return.
- Maintaining and driving close, frequent liaison with the general contractor to regulate delivery and movements around site.
- Ensuring trade contractors undertake weekly plant inspections and file inspections and certification accordingly.
- Recording the client or contractor delay and contribute to daily site diary.
