Qima Coffee is a globally recognised coffee sourcing and trading business that specialises in discovering and offering some of the world’s finest coffees, with the aim of generating sustainable livelihoods for smallholder farmers. Qima was established in 2016, initially sourcing coffee from Yemen with the aim of generating livelihoods for smallholder farmers in one of the world’s most difficult operating environments. Having succeeded in (re)building Yemen’s coffee industry, in 2020 Qima expanded its coffee sourcing operations globally and the company now operates in numerous coffee producing countries and markets and distributes its coffees to over 40 countries worldwide.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and creative Graphic Designer to join our team. As a Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for producing visually engaging and aesthetically pleasing designs across various platforms. Your work will play a crucial role in shaping the company's visual identity and brand recognition. The ideal candidate should have a strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects and a passion for staying up-to-date with design trends and industry advancements.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to understand design requirements, target audience, and project objectives.
Develop innovative and impactful design concepts for print and digital media, including but not limited to brochures, flyers, social media graphics, website layouts, email templates, and other marketing materials.
Ensure all design work aligns with the company's brand guidelines and maintains a consistent visual identity.
Use Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other design software to create high-qualitgraphics and layouts.
Conduct research on design trends, competitors' visual strategies, and industry best practices to continually improve and evolve design solutions.
Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and team members into design iterations to refine and finalize designs.
Collaborate with printers and vendors to ensure the successful production of print materials.
Maintain a well-organized digital library of design assets and project files for easy accessibility.
Stay updated on emerging design technologies, tools, and techniques to enhance design efficiency and creativity.

Skills

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience as a Graphic Designer or in a similar creative role, with a strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other graphic design software.
Solid understanding of design principles, layout composition, colour theory, and typography.
Creative thinking and the ability to translate concepts and ideas into visually appealing designs.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
