SNC-Lavalin has an exciting full-time career opportunity for an Electrical Engineer of 5 to 10 years experience to build a career in the area of Power Systems, Transmission and Distribution. The role will be based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Working in collaboration with the Electrical team to prepare the following deliverables / provide the following engineering services (non-exhaustive list):
- Development of technical specifications for the procurement of electrical equipment (comprehensive)
- Development of conceptual and detail design of HV substations (single line diagrams, layouts, BOM, etc.)
- Conceptual and detail design of MV distribution systems and Lvac and LVdc distribution systems
- Design of interfaces with protection and control systems, civil works, structures
- Preparation of bid documents and bid evaluations
- Design review of detail design performed by O.E.M. and third-party detail design
- Ensure interdisciplinary coordination
- Audits and technical assessment of HV and MV substations
- Construction supervision development of installation procedures and method statements
- Commissioning supervision
- Witnessing factory testing
- Feasibility and techno-economic studies (substations, distribution systems, etc.)
- Design studies and calculations (load flow, short-circuit, grounding, lightning protection, lighting, busbar design, etc.)
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, from a recognized institution (Master's degree in power systems, an asset)
