- Provide expert leadership to the Strategy and Corporate Affairs by articulating a vision and directing action towards achievement of corporate goals.
- Identify the strategic issues, challenges and choices for the organization as a whole and each business group individually, and provide high level strategic and policy advice to high ranking officials on all matters affecting the future business operations, capacity and sustainability of the essential services provided by the organization.
- Maintain effective networks, enhance relationships, and advocate on behalf of organization with key government figures, regulators, major commercial clients, other utility providers and community interest groups to project a positive image internally and externally.
- Develop, direct and control the strategic and operational planning frameworks and planning outcomes for the organization in the short, medium and long term and assist in executing the approved strategies.
- As a member of the Executive Management Team be responsible for robust governance and strategic direction of the organization.
- Proven leadership skills with demonstrated ability to articulate the corporate vision and translate that into effective strategic initiatives and operational plans.
- Strong strategic and commercial acumen supported by sound commercial judgement with well-developed conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Extensive achievement, at a senior level, in a utilities environment with emphasis on strategic and corporate planning, business modelling, corporate governance and government relations.
