Business Process Improvement Team Leader

A leading family business specialized in Retail, Distribution, and General Logistics Activities is seeking a highly motivated “Business Process Improvement & Efficiency” Team Leader to join their team in Amman, Jordan.

The potential candidate shall lead the organization transformation through embedding continuous improvement strategy by implementing new processes, systems, and capabilities to improve the company demand planning, inventory management, order fulfillment, dispatch, and distribution operations.

Responsibilities

  • To analyze and optimize the supply chain, logistics & distribution network, by coordinating, collaborating, and working closely with the demand planning, logistics and distribution teams.
  • KPIs building, management and reporting.
  • Periodic reporting of KPIs to management.
  • Monitoring of:
  1. Waste Levels
  2. On-Time process accomplishment
  3. Lead-times
  4. Stock Accuracy
  5. Cost/Turnover Ratios
  6. Stock Quality Reporting
  7. Ageing and Freshness
  • Ensuring adherence to quality standards & operating procedures by the various operations teams.
  • Collect and analyze the key cost drivers, operations dynamics and issues, areas of innovation, to provide solid performance related information for decision making.
  • Set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports or project / team members and hold them accountable for achieving these objectives.
  • Take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of team / personal objectives.
  • Lead the development and implementation of a continuous improvement strategy for the supply chain, logistics and distribution operations, anticipating complex issues, challenges, and opportunities, and ensuring integration with wider functional strategy.
  • Effectively communicates the actions needed to implement the function's strategy and business plan within the team; explain the relationship to the broader organization's mission, vision, and values; motivate people to commit to these strategies to achieve business goals.
  • Leverage technology to enhance logistics efficiency. Implement an integrated warehouse management system (WMS), transportation management system (TMS), and enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to streamline processes, capture real-time data, and facilitate data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

Confident in challenging the status quo with the ability to establish a strong culture of continuous improvement through lean methodologies and dashboard BI.

Commercial aptitude in statistics, data analysis and forecasting.

Education & Certification

Lean Six Sigma is a strong advantage.

5 – 8 years of experience in Distribution Industry or well Established 3PL Organization.

Candidate Profile

English speaking.

Well-presented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
