General Sales Manager

A Leading FMCG company located in Beirut is seeking for a General Sales Manager.

The main role is to ensure continous company growth by setting the sales targets, leading and supporting the the team to achieve sales targets and creating bonding relationships with customers.

BBA degree in Business or Marketing
Minimum 12 years of experience in all sales functions especially in FMCG.
Fluent in Arabic, English and French.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Managing a team of over 180 employees

As General Sales Manager, you should have a minimum set of skills to be able to perform the job in a manner befitting the title. Some qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor degree in Business Administration
  • Experience: 10 years sales experience in FMCG including 5 years in a managerial role
  • Skills/Behavioral competencies:
    • Strategic thinking: Translate the vision into concrete executable objectives.
    • Management Skills: Motivate, train, and develop a diverse workforce and provide an environment conducive to achievement and growth.
    • Planning Skills: Develop short-and long-range plans and establish a course of action for self or others to accomplish a specific goal.
    • Problem Solving: Identify and define problems through the gathering of relevant information leading to the development of alternative solutions.
    • Analytical Thinking: Build a logical approach to address problems or opportunities or manage the situation at hand by drawing on own knowledge and experience base and calling on other references and resources as necessary.
    • Synergism: Create synergy with other departments in order to achieve the company’s goals.
    • Customer orientation: Listen to the customer’s needs and respond to them.
    • Stress Management: Cope with the physical and emotional influence to control his/her behavior in order to achieve the needed task/objective.
  • Abilities/Technical competencies:
    • Command of Arabic and English, French is a plus
    • Operate Computer Software
    • Negotiation techniques
    • Able to develop business plan, processes and procedures
    • Able to apply the basic concepts of finance and accounting
    • Ability to read and prepare reports
