. Role and responsibilities
The purpose of the officer position is day to day implementation of the support functions responsibilities. Use actions words such as ensure, implement, or assist for the position's relevant responsibilities
Specific responsibilities
These responsibilities shall be adapted to the particularities of the job location and context, phase of operation, strategic focus, and type of program intervention. This section shall be revised whenever a new employee is hired or the context changes significantly.
BANK
Daily bookkeeping, utilizing the NRC Agresso accounting system.
Ensure timely payment to CBOs, Volunteers, Suppliers, Service providers, and other expenditures through bank transfers or cheques.
Verify that the vouchers and supporting documents meet NRC standards before proceeding with the payments.
Ensure proper tracking and monitoring of supplier/program payments including monthly reconciliations with relevant parties.
CASH
Bookkeeping – Make sure that the cashbook postback is updated with cash payment transactions daily and share with the Finance Team Lead for posting.
Responsible for cashbox, cash flow and regular cash counts including the proper tracking of cash advances.
Verify that the vouchers and supporting documents meet NRC standards before proceeding with the payments.
GENERAL
Ensure filing of all financial documents according to NRC standards.
Support in the month-end closing processes by ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the cash ledger and all supporting documentation is in place and properly coded.
Responsible for scanning and archiving finance documentation as per SSD guidelines for the Field Office on a weekly and monthly basis.
Support the Finance Coordinator in audit preparations and audit close-out.
