Job Description
The Center of Research Excellence in Desalination and Water Treatment at KFUPM is seeking to fill several research positions with potential competent candidates showing ability and desire for excellence in desalination and water treatment research. Applicant must hold a Ph.D. degree and has a vast experience in some of the following areas:
Desalination
. 1. Membrane based desalination
. 2. Thermal desalination
. 3. Membrane Distillation
. 4. Renewable energy/solar energy desalination based technology development
. 5. Alternative emerging technologies for desalination
. 6. Control of fouling agents and scalants
Water Treatment
. 1. Advanced water treatment/safe drinking water
. 2. Domestic wastewater treatment and reuse
. 3. Industrial wastewater treatment/reuse
. 4. Produced water (crude oil-contaminated) separation and reuse in oil wells
. 5. Recharge of treated wastewater into groundwater aquifers
. 6. Novel water treatment technologies
Job Responsibility
1. Write research proposals and get research fund from industries.
2. Conduct basic and applied research related to desalination and water treatment
3. Develop advanced products and technologies that mitigate corrosion.
4. Publish findings or creative works.
5. Prepare annual reports to funding agencies
6. Mentorship of Ph.D., M.Sc., and/or B.Sc. students
7. Build competencies in the area of desalination and water treatment.
Compensation & Benefits

Qualifications
Applicants must have an earned Ph.D. from a reputable institution and demonstrate a proven track record of successful scientific accomplishments in the area of desalination and water treatment, exemplified by peer-reviewed publications.
