Fitness-Core Sport Leader
Overview
The Core Sports Leader (CSL) is responsible for coordinating and officiating a comprehensive intramural sports program. Intramural sports activities to include at a minimum, softball, basketball, volleyball, indoor soccer and special fitness competitions and incentive programs. Examples of the special fitness competitions include: weightlifting, four (4) on four (4) volleyball, dodge ball, fun runs, 5K, 10K, Biggest Loser competition, Spring and Fall Fest fitness and sports events such as 5K and 10K runs, Strongest in the AOR, and other activities. Examples of fitness incentive programs include: 150-250-500 mile run club, bench press club, as well as other incentive activities. Services shall be performed for the operation of 24/7 fitness facilities. The CSL reports to the Fitness Director.
Responsibilities
Major Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the day-to-day execution of Fitness Center Intramural services as specified in the Performance Work Statement.
- Responsible for communicating and upholding company standards, leading by example, working as a team and providing clean, friendly and well-maintained fitness centers. Shall ensure bottled water coolers are clean and stored properly.
- Shall plan, coordinate and officiate a comprehensive intramural sports program to include at a minimum, softball, basketball, volleyball, soccer and special fitness competitions and incentive programs.
- Responsible for the maintenance and condition of the equipment and grounds at each facility.
- Completes weekly inspections of fitness and sports equipment, fields, facilities and documents discrepancies and forwards to the appropriate personnel for resolution.
- Shall submit supply requirements to Manager for ordering.
- Shall maintain guest feedback and address comments with appropriate action taken.
- Responsible for following a comprehensive, flexible, and properly documented training program.
- Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractor provided property (e.g., to include government facilities, equipment and tools).
- Responsible for precise execution of company time reporting procedures and accurate completion of timesheet.
- Shall perform as supplemental personnel as needed for all Installation Service functional areas.
- Shall ensure oversight of LN workforce in accordance with 332 AEWI and AFCENTI 32-1002.
- Shall perform escort duties.
- Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with contractual, functional, and mission requirements.

Working Environment:
- Work will be indoors and outdoors.
- Exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, chemicals may occur. Overtime and shift work may be required depending on contractual needs.
- Employee must comply with all Federal, State and Local regulations and published Company work rules as well as written instructions.
- Task specific work environment training will be provided as required. Must be prepared to function in a wartime environment to support U. S. interests. 100% Overseas Assignment.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
- Must have a High school diploma or equivalent
- Current American Red Cross CPR/AED and first aid certification
- Knowledge of game and rules and intramural policies, certified/trained intramural officiant, preferred.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current, valid U. S. Passport and U. S. Driver’s License.
- Must be certified or shall be willing to receive certification to drive up to a 10K forklift.
- Must be able to or shall be willing to learn to drive manual transmission vehicles.
- Must have and maintain a valid U. S. SECRET Security Clearance prior to deployment.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
- Must be able to pass MOD15 employment and deployment qualification requirements that include psychological, medical, dental, drug testing, background checks, etc.
- Candidates must successfully complete hands on CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) defense training. Training includes the successful fit testing of DoD provided protective gear.
Experience :
- A minimum of two (2) years' of previous officiating experience or work in related fitness/sports or health club setting and one year of customer service experience.
- Experience to include supervision of other employees, knowledge of intramural sports rules and excellent customer satisfaction results.
Skills :
- Good communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
- Must be familiar with Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.
- Able and willing to work periods of long hours to meet mission requirements
- Military experience in a contingency environment and knowledge and experience working with government contracts preferred.
