• Liaise with Broiler Farm Incharge and Team leaders on all matters relating to the rearing, husbandry,

preparation and logistics of the management of particular broiler flocks.

• Supervisor all workers including the training in basic broiler management procedures, standard

best practices and safe working procedures.

• Responsible for the detailed and diligent servicing of all broiler houses. This in particular involves the

visitation to the farm and monitoring of day old placements, the regular attendance of each broiler farm

throughout the batch, implementing and advising on husbandry procedures as required and the

implementation of corrective actions as necessary.

• Undertake continued appraisal of broiler farms to ensure optimal performance is being achieved. Where

performance is not achieving standard or expected to not achieved standard full investigations such as bird

health, on farm management, facilitation, feed and any other observations must be evaluated, recorded

and assessed. Corrective actions to be implemented and or/findings reported to the Management.

• Ensure that routine weights of birds are taking place from time to time

• Undertake facilities assessments on broiler farms.

• Control and coordinate all broiler farm activities for the achievement of short and long term business

objectives and increased profit.

• Ensure that all vaccines, treatments and medicines are administered as required and in appropriate

manner.

• Ensure strict compliance with the principles of quarantine an biosecurity by all farming operations.

• Monitor flock’s health and carry out serological and microbiological testing as required.

• Liaise with other sections of farming including the hatchery, processing plant.
