Job Summary / Job Purpose:
The Position "Logistics Assistant" will handle, and support logistics part of Brands/Business Unit assigned. . Primarily handling day-to-day functioning of Logistics Department and assisting Logistics Department for planning, coordinating, monitoring, distribution & transportation of goods by coordinating with warehousing, inventory, and shipping operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving sales forecast, and handle system entries like customer creation, export price list creation, sales order entries etc.
- Follow-up & coordinate with distributors on monthly basis for reconfirmation of sales forecast & orders.
- Handle system entry creations of picking list, packing list, invoices, etc.
- Create accurate shipping documents – including chamber of commerce, custom documents, LC documents.
- Coordinate with warehouse on picking list & packing list status regularly for tracking the status of in-& out shipments.
- Prepare shipping documents (Packing, Invoice, Delivery Advice, H.S. Code Report, etc.)
- Prepare Custom documents & regular follow up with Shipping and Forwarding Agents & Freight Forwards to follow – up on Outgoing shipments.
- Handle local procurements of all packaging/accessories.
- E-commerce Shipment: Amazon, First Cry & Mumzworld. Ensuring order entries and timely delivery as per schedule given.
- Ensure compliance with export regulations/customs regulations and legal and health and safety requirements.
- Handling stock adjustment entries as well as sub – inventory transfer entries.
- Closing backorders & inactive item codes.
- Prepare and submit monthly reports – Back order / Stock aging / Distribution status reports etc.
- Updated Filing & archiving of all related documents.
- Coordinating with 3PL/ Co-Packers for promo/ Picking

Qualifications / Experience / Technical Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce / Business Administration / International Business / Supply Chain Management.
- 2 to 5 years’ experience in handling logistics operations in FMCG / Retail / Distribution & Logistics Industry
- Computer skills including advanced excel and working knowledge of ERP and customer data systems; Oracle ERP (preferably).
- Updated knowledge on legal compliance in logistics / freight forwarding process & procedures is required.
