Job Summary:
The Director of Project Management Office (PMO) is responsible for Avertra’s overall project management function, providing leadership, integration, and management of PMO processes and functions to improve the consistency and efficiency of the Organization's project delivery. Additionally, directing the development, planning, and execution of projects that make use of information technology solutions, guidelines, benchmarks, and best practices. Ensure project efforts match customer expectations for contracted time, cost, and performance. Additionally, collect input throughout the project lifetime and provide mentorship and coaching on agile best practices in line with MiFlow (Avertra’s Low Code Agile Methodology).
Job Responsibilities:
Project Management & Governance:
- Run and optimize the PMO role and operating model (e.g. centralized or decentralized, areas of focus).
- Set standards for project management capabilities, including certifications and qualifications for Project Managers, and success measurement. criteria, methodologies, tools to be used, etc.
- Create a ‘Centre of Excellence’ to nurture project management practitioners and share knowledge of industry best practices.
- Monitor compliance with policies and standards.
- Comfortable in Hybrid Waterfall/Agile methodologies.
- Stickler for Change Management.
- High Maturity in Resource Planning and Management.
- Methodical in Risk Management (FMEA preferred).
Project Management Team Leadership:
- Run and optimize the PMO organization structure, hiring and managing staffing requirements in line with project objectives.
- Create corporate strategies and arguments for hiring personnel to meet pipeline demands.
- Report on portfolio and project progress, metrics, and risks.
- Oversee the delegation of work to Project Managers, Program Managers, and Business Analysts.
- Set annual performance targets for individuals and the team and conduct performance reviews.
- Coach junior team members in the disciplines of Project Management.
- Strengthen the value propositions for Avertra’s Products & Services, actively participate in client conferences, technical delivery meetings, steering teams, presentations, and other customer events.
Project Tracking & Monitoring:
- Track and provide project status and audit reports.
- Manage the risk, issue, and change resolution process, and work with other leaders to take corrective action as needed.
- Oversee Project Managers for the delivery of projects/programs on time, within the scope, and on budget.
Project Prioritization:
- Provide executive leaders with the information needed to assess which proposals have the highest potential value, impact, and strategic alignment.
- Interface with executives to define project priorities and implementation opportunities and challenges, and keep them up to date with project risks and opportunities.

Education:
Bachelor of Science, or Bachelor of Engineering Certificates:
- PMP
- Agile certification from a reputable methodology provider (Scrum Alliance, SAFe)
- SixSigma Green Belt (minimum) DMAIC/DFSS
Experience:
- 4+ years in a similar role
- 6+ years in leadership
- 10+ years in Project Management functions
- Ran 3+ Major Programs in a CI/CD environment (4+ Years)
- Worked in ITIL processes in a Software continuous deployment environment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Track record of developing, executing, and achieving tactical and strategic initiatives through active leadership that positively impact global business plans, operating profits, practices, policies, and procedures.
- Expert-level knowledge of project and change management and associated methodologies, techniques, processes, and approaches (e.g. Project and Portfolio Management Methodology – PPM).
- Budget, cost, and profitability management skills.
- Knowledge of resource management tools.

Onsite – Amman, Jordan. Flexible normal working hours + after-hours meetings and demos as needed.
