Position Type: Full time, exempt (not eligible to receive overtime pay)

Location: UPA Office, Ramallah, Palestine or Amman Jordan
Reports to: Field Programs Director(s)
Position Description
The Procurement and Contracts Officer is a member of UPA’s Field Operations Team and will work along with the Field Programs Directors to oversee and carry out functions related to procurement and contract negotiation. This position reports to the Field Operations Director, West Bank and Gaza, and the Field Operations Director, Jordan and Lebanon, based on the location of the project.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in the nonprofit sector, especially in terms of major procurement and contract negotiation experience.
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to work independently, assess priorities, and manage a variety of activities, paying attention to detail under tight deadlines and heavy workloads.
- Proficiency in Excel, MS Word, and other computer systems.
- Excellent oral and written English-language communication skills; Arabic language fluency is required.
- Ability to travel to the different areas of UPA operations.
