Creative Marketing Manager

This role helps build direct marketing plans, targeted campaigns, and activated channels to the end of driving consumer awareness and preference, increasing market share, and building broader portfolio and brand awareness. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for building awareness of HotelShop through public relations along with the development and execution of content creation, with a strong emphasis on digital marketing and social media.

Reports to the CEO to develop and implement public relations, marketing and communications strategy of HotelShop to ensure that all strategies are set; tactical plans are created and implemented; and that results are monitored and achieved.

  • Assist in the development and implementation innovative, hotel specific, public relations, social media and marketing strategies to support brand's objectives.
  • Works with Sales teams and hotel partners to execute promotions and campaigns to target customers with promotions that drive incremental revenue to the brand.
  • Develop, implement and manage HotelShop social media strategy
  • Manage and oversee Social Media content and measure the success of every social media campaign
  • Work with CEO to review analytics to measure success/failure of campaigns.
  • Collaborates with Revenue Management to verify correct offer loading, verifying advertisement targeting is correctly directed at relevant consumer groups
  • Use social media marketing tools
  • Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network
  • Develop relationships with media, public relations agencies, department suppliers and other outside companies in the development of programs to meet marketing and communications objectives.
  • Review, advertising, print and other media for the brand. Work with advertising agencies, consulting firms and vendors to maximize advertising investments and ensure ads represent brand identity and are appropriate for target audience.
  • Evaluate sponsorship and solicitation requests including manage on-ground activation of sponsored events
  • Regularly update hotel, restaurant and third-party websites including website’s press page.
  • Maintain an up-to-date photo and video library, including a photographic record of all media and special events.
  • Design, coordinate and distribute press kits including monitor and maintain supply of sales collateral.
  • Resolve requests and/or complaints to the satisfaction of the guest; inform supervisor of major problems, complaints, disturbances or dissatisfied clients.
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. Key departmental contacts include sales, other departments, hotel Executive Committee, and corporate and community affairs.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

What We Are Looking For

  • B.A. or B.S. degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • 7-10 years of Marketing and/or related experience
  • Strong business acumen, strategic orientation, and general operation experience
  • Must have a creative mindset and hungry for new ideas.
  • Hospitality or travel industry knowledge, experience or expertise preferred
  • Strength in leadership, strategy, marketing, and campaign management
  • Familiar with digital and social media platforms and curating content
  • Strong analytical capability, especially in understanding and applying marketing/traveltrends and marketing communication principles
  • Part of a cross-functional team with direct reporting to the CEO.
