Dubai Holding Entertainment currently has an exciting career opportunity. We are looking to hire a Broadcast engineer to provide technical services for ARN studios, technology and transmission including installation, maintain and repair equipment used for the transmission and reception of radio broadcast signals such as transmitters, microphones, mixing desks, digital players, computers and hybrid equipment, automation system, network. Maintaining specialist equipment for audio production and interactive media.

Key Accountabilities (Includes, but not limited to the following):

Contribution to the development of the Radio & Social Broadcast infrastructure at ARN
Support and training of the On Air team
Resolution of technical issues in all ARN departments
General operational tasks & any other tasks assigned by Broadcast & Technology
Checking and monitoring all Broadcast & Technology equipment to ensure that it is operating properly
Find and replace faulty assemblies and parts on component level
Installing and maintaining new equipment
Knowledge of studio, transmitters, broadcast sytems,networks and telecommunication systems
To oversee that all studio, technical areas are in a clean and safe condition for operation.
Working indoor and outdoor
Working in shift for 24*7 operation and able to handle pressure in critical situations.

Minimum qualifications

Diploma / degree in Sound / Transmission
BSC in Engineering (preferably media engineering specialization)

Minimum experience

3 years within radio and social media environment
Demonstrable experience of working in a tapeless broadcast facility
Experience of the following would be advantageous: Analog/Digital Mixer, AOIP, Headphone, Microphones, Automation System,News Systems, OB, Broadcast social media Cameras and application, Video Mixers, RDS, Audio Processor,transmitter, broadcast servers , desktops and networks

Skillset

Fluent in English language (Arabic language desirable but not essential)
In depth knowledge of broadcast automation and transmission
Thorough understanding of broadcast transmission chains including electrical and electronic acquisition, interactive services
Understanding of live program making and its dependencies
Ability to work in a pressurized environment.
Exceptional attention to detail
Genuine desire to succeed.
