Duties and Responsibilities

1 Abides by the Medical Staff By laws, Code. of Medical Ethics, Rules and Regulations of the Medical StafF and those specific to the departmen.I/division.

2 Provides the highest attainahle standard of medical care for the patients for whom I e/ste i's rcpcnsible.

3 Carries out a ”full range of inpatient and outpatient clinical duties .as assigned by the

Jirector of department/head of division in accordance with individually approved clinical privileges.

4 Participates in on-call duties as required by the department/division.

5 Teatches staff assigned for training purposes and participates with the director of department/head of division and Director o( Postgraduate and Academic Affairs in planning a progratrtme of career development for trainees.

6 Participates in the improvement of quality of patient care tT’otal Quality Management Progiamiiie, Quality Assessment Improvement Programme) as applicable,

7 Fulfills the requirements of the Satidi Council for Health Specialties with regard to continuing medical education.

8 Participates in and/or actively supports the approved researc h nroitcts.

9 Deputises for his superior as required and shares the workload in his speciality during the absence of his colleagues.

10 Strives to improve his clinial expertise as well as standard of practice with regard to morbidity and cost efTectiveness.

11 Participrites in the forward planning, and further development txt the department/division.

12 Serves on hospital committees a.s requested.

14 Performs other applicable tasks and dutics assigned » ithin the realm of his /her knowledge, skil.1s and abilities, within the hospital and/or affiliated medical facilitics.

Saudi Board or equivalent higher qualification in General Surgery
Sub-speciality Fellowship in Plastic Surgery (Minimum of two years) preferably have more than two (2} years of experiencc in hand surgery in recognizable center.
Four (4) years specialized professional post qualification training/experience in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in a recognized centre, of which a minimum of two (2) years must be at a Senior Registrar level. (Category A + B hospitals).
Experience in minimal invasive procedures and Micro-Surgery, Hand Surgery, Bums, Craniofacial Surgery md Co.smetic Surgery.

Education

Saudi Board or equivalent higher qualification in General Surgery & Sub-speciality Fellowship in Plastic Surgery
