01. Provide the focal point between PMO and human resources with respect to the manpower plan and horizontal movement of human resources between divisions.

02. Provide the focal point between PMO and operations to monitor and control manpower issues and concerns.

03. Provide a capacity planning and resource tracking service across a portfolio or program (s).

04. Capture the resource requirements of the portfolio, program, or project and the PMO itself.

05. Forecast future resource needs, based on portfolio/program/project plans, close liaison with the relevant managers, and (where appropriate) wider business plans and business unit objectives (demand management).

06. In consultation with human resources and others, decide on the best source for the required resources, depending on the long-term requirement for a particular skill and its likely availability.

07. Plan and initiate the acquisition of the necessary staff, in terms of both skill content and quantity, ensuring they are in place at the time needed.

08. Actively monitor the deployment of staff, arranging new postings (where possible) in
