Private Sector and Fundraising Coordinator
Position Summary.
The Private Sector and Fundraising Senior Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day operations relating to implementing private sector engagement activities and fundraising, including technical assistance, partnership development, and knowledge management. The private sector and Fundraising Senior Coordinator will work closely with the program manager and other team members within the organization.
Monitor and track the delivery of all private sector-related deliverables under the Program; Lead the preparation of reports and knowledge engagement related to private sector engagement in supporting communities; and coordinate webinars and events with the communication department and relevant departments within the department structure. As well as planning and outreach to different donors for fundraising.
Will oversee project work-plan performance, participating in project planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring, reporting, and program development on the project site. Coordinate with the monitoring and evaluation department on impact measurement reports with support in developing the report content and ensuring all reports are developed on time and handed over to partners.
The private sector and Fundraising Senior Coordinator is responsible for creating and maintaining relationships with corporate partners and donors, ensuring the private sector is fully engaged through the platform, and ensuring they are continuously involved in the project development process. Conduct behavior changes about the privet sector engagement in supporting the communities, capacity building, fundraising process, and CSR management.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Relationship Management
- The Private Sector and Fundraising Senior Coordinator scoping and engagement, including supporting the development of ‘business cases’ fundraising to achieve new partnerships and strengthen existing ones.
- Develop tailored contact strategies and compelling pitch presentations for prospective partners.
- Manage interactions with prospective and actual private sector partners
- Manage the Private Partner database, including working with program teams to ensure partnership commitments are realized.
- Pre-Award and Agreement Development Support
- Lead on new private partnership contracting processes, including supporting selection of appropriate agreement types, and working closely with operation teams to develop Scope of Work documents and budgets.
- Provide guidance to prospective private sector partners on partnership policies and procedures.
- Act as a key focal point for communications with private sector partners, representing the organization in negotiations of contractual terms that the program will enter into.
- Coordinate communication between the organization and prospective private sector partners and liaise with relevant team members,
- Partner Support and Capacity Sharing
- Collaborate with programs manager to integrate technical capacity sharing approaches, including how the organization can benefit communities and private sector partners.
- Develop and manage processes to routinely gather private sector feedback to enhance program delivery.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business, international development, law, social science, or commensurate professional experience
At least 5-7 years in a similar or related role, preferably with a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO)
Experience in developing proposals and projects.
Experience in relationship management, ideally with private sector actors
Experience in partnership development, with a strong preference for partnerships in humanitarian or national development contexts
Strong negotiation skills and understanding of contracting and/or sub-award processes.
Excellent interpersonal skills: demonstrated ability to liaise with a variety of people effectively in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment, and to work with a virtual team.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
