Our client is looking for an experienced Retail Manager to supervise and evaluate all company branches within a designated geographical area. Oversee the company branches including People, Processes, Policy & Products within the designated area of responsibility, ensuring all staff and management work towards achieving organizational objectives. You will be reporting directly to the Retail Director.
- Manage and motivate a team to increase sales and ensure efficiency;
- Analyze sales figures and forecasting future sales volumes to maximize profits;
- Ensure standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met;
- Resolve health and safety, legal and security issues;
- Respond to customer complaints and comments;
- Promote the organization locally by liaising with local schools, newspapers and the community in general;
- Organize the execution of special promotions, displays and events;
- Touring the sales floor regularly, talking to colleagues and customers, and identifying or resolving urgent issues;
- With Marketing, maintaining awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what local competitors are doing; Initiating changes to improve the business, e.g. revising opening hours to ensure the store can compete effectively in the local market;
- Work with the Visual Merchandising & Space Management team and ensure proper plan & adjacencies that support departmental plans and store capabilities;
- Comply with and enforces standard policies and procedures;
- Select, train, motivate. performance appraisals, devising PDP, coaching and evaluate department personnel. Direct, co-ordinate and review work plans for the department, assign activities, monitor work flow, review and evaluate policies and procedures;
- Hold monthly updates with team members and key strategic partners in the office for dissemination of information; prepare management meetings for dissemination of information;
- Be a lead Ambassador of the organisation at all times.

You are a seasoned, results-producing retail management professional with extensive experience leading profit-generating operations through innovative merchandising, pricing and discounting, and focus on continuous product turnover. You are a true teamleader skilled in developing highly productive, sales-driven teams by implementing customer-focused training and sales programs. Next to that you have the exceptional ability to establish rapport with customers, gain trust, and build strong repeat and referral business.
skills & competencies:
- Medium proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet Explorer;
- Strong analytical skills & compliance driven;
- High level of verbal and written communication skills (English essential, Arabic is an added asset);
- Great decision making skills;
- Target oriented.
education & qualifications:
- Degree in Business Administration (B.A.) or equivalent in Marketing, Sales or related field;
- Retail experience is mandatory;
- Willing to relocate to Kuwait.
