Finance Officer

GOOD NEIGHBORS INTERNATIONAL – JORDAN OFFICE

Good Neighbors (http://www.goodneighbors.org/) is an international humanitarian and development NGO founded in the Republic of Korea in 1991. To make the world a place without hunger, where people live together in harmony, GNI is working with 200 communities in about 48 countries with our focus on an inclusive community development approach and child protection. Good Neighbors attained General consultative status with United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC) in 1996. In recognition of valuable efforts in providing universal primary education over the world, it was awarded the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) Award by the International Association of Economic and Social Councils and Similar Institutions (AICESIS) in 2007.

Good Neighbors Jordan (GNJ) has been working in Jordan since July 2020 and looking for a finance officer. Please see the details below for those who are interested.

  1. Duties and Responsibilities
  • To conduct daily finance management and execution: budget request writing and review, balance check, preparation of payment vouchers, and requested fund in a timely manner
  • To conduct daily recording of transactions and income on Quick Books
  • To manage budget settlements by reviewing the final spending summary, including proper supporting documents/evidence according to the organization’s financial guideline
  • To prepare and submit Monthly Finance Report in a timely manner
  • To conduct monthly reconciliation of Accounts and QB records
  • To provide accurate and timely information for budget monitoring and progress reporting of project fund
  • To conduct banking activities
  • To prepare and deliver related financial training to keep all the staff informed of up-to-date financial guidelines under consultation with the Office Management
  • To archive all financial documents; spending, filling in chronological order, and management
  • To communicate with the relevant government authorities
  1. Competencies and Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, and other relevant subjects.
  • At least one to three years of finance work experience with Quick Books
  • Good knowledge of financial management, audit, taxation, and administration in general
  • Well-organized, resourceful with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Commitment to the Organization’s vision, mission, values, and goals
  • A team player, flexible, quick thinking, and able to work well under pressure
  • Ability to work in a multi-national environment
  • Fluency in both English and Arabic
  • Solid skills in the use of Microsoft Office and computers
