Job Specification and requirements:
- Uphold safety, health, environmental and worker welfare performance of all logistics execution activities being implemented by the EPC Contractors.
- Implements and sustains a strong safety culture by inspiring safety commitment via demonstration of safety leadership by example.
- Ensures compliance to all relevant safety, health and environmental procedures and policies to promote a healthy and safe work environment.
- Assure effective handling of shipping, including the aspects of customs, export/import matters and foreign government regulations.
- Identify and implement transportation techniques for the purpose of moving project materials and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain a database to monitor logistic trends and up to date information regarding freight market (cargo vessel availability, crew availability and vessel berth plus rates).
- Directs the planning and execution of logistics studies as required for project PMT.
- Maintains contact with Traffic & Logistics (T&L) industry sources and information resources to remain informed of industry trends, tools, and best practices.
- Maintains contacts with government regulatory agency personnel as necessary to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
