Engagement Manager – Data Governance (Consulting)

Description

Help our clients establish Data Management and Governance programs and drive data ownership into the client businesses
Assist with the implementation of the Data Management and Governance programs within the client organization
Serves as the point person for data-related tasks on an assigned project
Designing, developing, and modifying data infrastructure to accelerate the processes of data analysis and reporting
Conduct current state assessments, evaluate assessment results, and present findings in a logical and easy-to-understand manner
Coordinate and implement data quality remediation efforts to ensure data meets the standards identified by the enterprise
Architectural design of MDM solution encompassing ETL, Database, MDM, and outbound data synchronization components

Core experience of providing consultancy and data management expertise to customers
Ability to analyze RFPs and prepare proper respond as a technical proposal to the client
Ability to demonstrate solutions to client and prepare proper presentations
Full understanding of national data management requirements with ability of its implementation
Hands on experience in building data management offices and clear understanding of NDMO requirements
Experience in and understanding of concepts and frameworks pertaining to Data Management- Data Governance, Data Policy, Data Lineage, Data Models, Data Quality, Data Risk and Control Frameworks, Data Literacy, Reference Data Management, Metadata Management
Experience within data management and governance. Possess knowledge of frameworks, standards and regulatory requirements related to Data Governance, Data Management – DAMA, BCBS239, CCAR, etc.
Good understanding of data warehouse, data lake and big data
Good understanding of data analytics methods and procedures
Full understanding of data management frameworks and standards
Full understanding of data life cycle and its phases
Perform Data Management and Governance reviews, Data Maturity assessments
Ability to design a data architecture with full components and features
Ability to understand the customer's business problem, need, or opportunity and to design a data solution that completely and correctly addresses the business problem, need, or opportunity without unnecessary enhancements

Academic and professional qualifications

Bachelor / Masters in (Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Science)

Years and Nature of Experience

8+ years of management consulting in the field of data governance preferably in Big 4 or any known consulting firms
Hands-on experience in developing data management strategies for clients
Hands-on experience in developing data governance framework for clients
