Accountant

Job Summary:

Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information
  • Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions while resolving discrepancies
  • Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries
  • Summarizes financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements
  • Managing company funds and overseeing the allocation of cash balances
  • Responsible for all bank accounts transactions and reconciliations
  • Handles all legal documents for new or resigning employees
  • Maintains employee files
  • Monitors daily attendance and keeps track of employees’ leaves
  • Processes monthly payroll for office staff, replies to their inquiries and prepares the documents requested
  • Avoids legal challenges by complying with legal requirements
  • Protects organization's data by keeping information confidential

Skills / Qualifications:

  • University degree in accounting
  • 2-8 years’ experience in accounting
  • Very good command of English and Arabic
  • Analytical skills
  • High level of confidentiality
  • Attention to detail
  • Working under pressure and meeting deadlines
  • Flexibility and Adaptability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Dolphin
