Procurement Officer

Job Summary:

Reporting to Procurement Manager in order to deliver business objectives and targets to optimize company resources, within own area of responsibility.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing of goods, and services to meet the company’s operational requirements.
  • Run tenders, evaluate bids, and make recommendations.
  • Managing supplier relations and maintain the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation and continually improve purchasing strategies
  • Ensures completion of tasks in an effective and efficient way according to agreed objectives, budget, procedures, and specification; provides reporting as required.
  • Resolves or/and escalates conflict and provides solutions and executes corrective actions.
    Contributes and manages within defined information systems and working procedures to ensure quality of product and service to the customer.

Qualifications Education:

  • Degree educated and 3-5 years’ relevant work experience in a similar role in food and beverage industry
  • Professional qualification in SCM/logistics preferred
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
  • Food hygiene and H&S related work experience preferred
    Demonstrable experience of taking accountability, positive attitude to work and able to work to tight deadlines
