Be part of a team assessing and driving achievement of program specific performance within Honeywell Building Technologies (Building products). You will partner with world class engineers and cross functional leaders to develop program cost, schedules and milestones, define technology roadmaps, and drive improvements in engineering quality and productivity.
Use your strategic thinking to help anticipate problems, recognize and eliminate barriers. Create, Support and maintain an optimized program management operating system for specific business segment programs. Bring the best global thinking to your own organization and region to understand technology and management concepts required for Honeywell products and processes.
Senior Program Specialist Responsibilities:
- Work closely with project sponsor, partners across globe, cross-functional teams, to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives
- Manage the program of projects integrations to meet the customer critical needs
- Manage program and project teams for optimal return-on-investment, and coordinate between Software Houses internally & Externally to ensure that the Customer Requirements are met
- Identify key risks / requirements needed from project teams, supporting functions and external vendors
- Develop and manage budget for project(s) and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives & defined GPMO KPIs as well as Regional KPIs
- Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce program reports for management and stakeholders
- Effective management of agile software development programs with cross-entity inputs and management of changing customer needs
- Effectively builds partnering relationships with 3rd party ODMs/OEMs/Vendor evaluation, interface and management where required
- Work closely with Sales / Account managers on identifying new opportunities & supporting the bid process.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Min of 5 years of experience handling multi-disciplinary engagements (5 to 7+ years experience as a project manager or equivalent)
- Experience managing 1-2 End-to-End Product Development Lifecycle Projects (W2W)
- Experience Managing complex integration projects with multiple touch points and development needed to meet timeline and requirements
- Good in stakeholder management mainly interfacing with Engineering, Customer, Internal Functions such as Sourcing, Sales, Working Capital, etc.
- Solid understanding of engineering (Software, Electrical, Mechanical) life cycle models.
.Desired Certifications: PMI-ACP / CSM / CSPO / PMP / IPMA / PRINCE
WE VALUE
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with Focus on Software / Computer Science
.Proven experience in W2W program management.
.Proven track record of managing complex program and product deliveries creating incremental revenue impact as per the business case
.Experience in engineering and agile methods
.Experience using program management tools for a variety of tasks.
.Experience with New Product Development
- Exposure to Cloud, IOT, Data analytics, UI Technologies, Embedded Firmware. Control Systems domain knowledge preferable
