Objectives
Our client is a logistic services company, is looking for a GM – Automotive to join their team in Jeddah – Saudi Arabia. The GM must Lead the transformation of automotive logistics from a cost center to a profit center to become one of the leading 3PL service providers in KSA market. The role includes building a sustainable business in line with the new direction of consolidating all automotive logistics under one central division and ensure a proper implementation of all transformation pillars.
This includes leading the development of the right processes, systems, people capabilities and infrastructure to ensure building a strong foundation that would lead to improving efficiency, profitability and obtaining business development opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the overall business plan with all BU’s to ensure the delivery of the operating plan.
- Improve the overall profitability through optimizing the current processes.
- Develop, lead, and execute transformation road map to consolidate operations, develop capabilities and provide 3PL services in line with the group’s vision.
- Lead developing all 3PL capabilities across the value chain (people, process, system, infrastructure, and footprint) to provide competitive services and cost efficiency.
- Achieve automotive sector business plan through leading the entire organization including all business functions (BD, HR, OD, Finance, Operations, IT, QHS and facility management).
- Oversee the overall sector’s budget; monitor the cost and effectiveness of activities to optimize resources and prioritize spending to achieve overall agreed upon annual financial objectives (P&L).
- Ensures delivering optimized operations throughout the business activities in order to deliver the KPI’s with the highest utilization % and lowest possible cost(s).
- Lead successful strategic partnership with key stakeholders including internal clients (MYNM), BD clients and government authorities.
- Lead and cascade the communication of the company’s vision, mission, values, and objectives to all departments.
- Lead all functions of the business (supply chain, sales, marketing, finance, quality assurance, HR, IT).
- Empowering the management team to deliver the required capabilities across the total supply chain from all key aspects in order to attract external clients.
- Leads the overall company’s engagement and ensure the development of the right action planning across the business.
- Develop communication channels as a way of working to effectively capture stakeholder’s feedback and expectations.
- Identifies, communicates, and evaluates annual performance objectives for all management team members in line with annual business objectives using company’s Performance Development Reviews (PDR).
- Introduce/facilitate the right technology to enable the overall company with the practical solutions for smooth business operations.
- Ensure implementing all IT solutions across the value chain in line with industry best practices (3PL) to drive efficiency improvements and optimization, provide visibility to all stakeholders and maximize the value additions to all stakeholders.
- Ensure the proper integration of all systems cross functionally to drive efficiency and enable smooth business operations.
- Monitor and develops business performance KPI’s and company’s dashboard.
- Communicate effectively cross-functionally with all stakeholders.
