Solution Expert – Digital Website Development| Enterprise IT | Dubai

Overview of the Role:

The Solution Expert will provide an expert level of skills & knowledge in the evaluation, development, testing and delivery of website using various technologies like HCL Dx application, WordPress and Sharepoint.

What Will You Do

• Collaborate with the business in identifying functional requirements for process groups, and create corresponding technical specifications
• Work along with various internal and external team on technical solutions.
• Create and modify configurations using defined development standards, procedures, and design specifications
• Develop test scripts, perform unit testing, and contribute to integration testing of development objects
• Provide technical support to end users; diagnose and resolve application-related issues, identify root causes, as well as institute corrective actions and preventive measures.
• Carry out detailed impact assessments for proposed change requests, proposing alternative cost-effective solutions where appropriate.
• Ensure Change Controls are developed, tested & released according to an agreed schedule and ensure all high business impact changes are escalated as appropriate.
• Expected to be involved in support activities and a number of development activities and to have developed excellent business process design skills.
• Ensure the development team adhere to the standard guideline and best practice

Required skills to be successful:

• Understanding of the technical solution for other website platforms like WordPress and Sharepoint.
• Ability to manage a team for the day-to-day operations
• Ability to work with various internal and external to build solutions.
• Expertise on WCM API and REST API

What equips you for the role:

• At minimum of 8-10 years of experience in digital website development, with 3-4 years of experience in leading the team.
• Very good understanding of JAVA/J2EE
• Very good portlet development knowledge
• Good knowledge of HTML/HTML 5, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, Dojo and good knowledge of latest portal and bootstrap theme development
• Good Portal administrative skills
• Ability to design solution and implement in WCM/Portal environment.
• Custom WCM items like workflows/plugins/JSPs
• Preferable knowledge on dockers, container and Kubernetes
