The Accounts Officer manages all the financial commitments of UITS. The Accounts Officer is the director s primary advisor on all financial matters, which include, but are not limited to, purchases, contracts, payments and petty cash. The Account Officer is a liaison between the director and all the UITS Director s with respect to payments and technical reports. The Accounts Officer works with Procurement Department regarding contracts and agreements with vendors, Financial Operations Unit for payments, manages and prepares UITS's budget with confidentiality. . Manages and develops an annual budget plan for UITS including the entire Departments input. . Supports the DIRECTOR and Procurement Department in contract and agreement negotiations with vendors. . Manages the petty cash account. . Prepare weekly status report about the budget . Recognizes and communicates new UAEU policies and procedures of procurement and Finance to the director and Department Director s. . Establishes a planned flow of work in relation to financial commitments. . Develops and implements internal policies, procedures and standards relating to payments, contracts, agreements and petty cash. . Responsible for coordinating with CFO, Financial Operations Unit, Budget and Procurement Departments for expense / purchase required. . Leads the preparation of requests for payment before the director s final approval. . Responsible to adhere with all information security policies and procedures of the University. . Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualification
– Bachelor degree in a Business related field – 3-6 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualification
– Knowledge of business systems
