EMPLOYABILITY AND WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT SENIOR OFFICER

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of the Senior Manager, the incumbent helps in managing the training and administrative operations of Amideast’s Training, innovation and community development programs across Jordan. This includes supervising departmental projects funded by donors as well as on-demand skills training programs requested by companies and organizations. The Senior Officer also oversees Amideast’s courses in PMD, FMD, and PgMD as well as assists in the development of new public course concepts. S/He is also responsible for handling logistical and administrative tasks leading to the success of the implementation of the departmental goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Main Duties:

  • Supports in the business development, donor engagement and proposal development processes alongside the Senior Manager
  • Promote training activities to corporates and individuals through social media, email shots, phone calls
  • Assist in all training arrangements; including rooms booking, logistics set up, participation confirmation, printing materials and handouts, etc.
  • Assist in administration of the training workshops, courses, seminars, meetings, focus groups and program outreach
  • Assist in trainings reporting and evaluation analysis, development of M&E tools for programs
  • Maintain proper filing (soft and hard copy) for all training activities,
  • Keep the Amideast Communications and Customer Service teams abreast with latest developments, news, announcements, etc.
  • Conducts quality assurance visits and field work throughout Jordan in support of development programs
  • Perform any other Amideast work-related duties requested by the department manager or Country Director.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Required

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, education, or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, in overseeing programs and initiatives aimed at developing skills and opportunities in women, youth, communities, refugees and similar
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Arabic
  • Project administration experience
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Computer literacy in MS Office
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must possess problem-solving skills
  • Organization skills
  • Manage time efficiently
  • Able to work under pressure and meet short deadlines
  • Approachable and professional
  • Service-oriented: Actively looking for ways to help people
  • A self-starter, positive work attitude and a team player

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The incumbent in this position will work in a professional office environment and will utilize the following equipment when working from the corporate office or remote home office (either on a full time, temporary, or hybrid basis).

  • Computer (laptop or desktop)
  • Printer/Photocopier/Scanner/Fax
  • Telephone

Up to 10% business travel may be needed to support the department as needed.
