Senior Tax Accountant | FSSC | Cairo

Overview of the role

• Ensure that all regular tax files are submitted on time with accurate figures and payment are executed for the AFG companies under FSSC Egypt scope

​​​​​​​What you will do

• Tax Compliance – Ensure correct and timely filing of all Tax Returns based on country specific tax calendars and prepare/review Direct/Indirect Tax Returns with support from Business Finance and external Tax Advisors.
• Tax Community -Coordinate with Business Finance teams in Egypt.
• Tax Accounting – Record necessary tax journal entries, manage tax provision tracking, tax balances on general ledger, compute tax liabilities.
• Tax Document Management – Ensure all documents are collected on a central database and handle requests for information, and adequate tax documentation maintained for tax audit purpose.
• Tax Controversy – Preparation and submission of timely responses to queries from Tax Authorities under the direction of Group Tax and in close collaboration with Business Finance teams. Ability to liaise with Tax Authorities in Egypt and external tax consultants in resolving tax queries and investigations.
• Tax Reporting – Prepare various tax schedules for internal tax reporting as management requests.
• Automation – Resolving tax related system issues in close coordination with IT. Actively identify, engage and support automation initiatives.

• Contribute to the improvement of the solutions and business processes.
• Maintains and upgrades professional knowledge, management skills and domain expertise by using continuous learning & development tools.

About the Team

• This role reports to the Sr Manager Tax and will have 1 – 2 reportees

What equips you for the role

• Tax, Finance or Accounting Degree
• Fluent in Arabic and English (written and verbal)
• Egyptian tax knowledge is essential
• 4 – 6 years of Egypt Tax Experience
